A New Launch from Burning Bright Publishing!
In Which We Take the War of Stories Quite Literally
Bright Army!
I sincerely hope this readership forgives the direct, well, self-promotion of this post.
That said … I have managed to keep this publication free, and while a good number of you have supported me over the years in the form of Paid Subscriptions and Coffee Donations, I thought you might like to know about a THIRD option to support this work, and one that gets you something I put quite a bit of time, energy and, yes, money into.
To wit, many of you have noted over the years that my writing style has a bit of a genre flair.
Well, that’s because, for those who were unaware, in addition to being a full contact fighter in my pre Info War life, I was a genre fiction writer, and after YEARS of back and forth, saving and, yes, the support of this audience, I was finally able to re-secure the rights to my original Intellectual Property, beginning with a Neo-Future Cyberpunk Thriller I first wrote back in 2019.
What’s more, I’m absolutely thrilled to announce that I have managed to ink a new deal with my good friends over at Soundbooth Theater in order to jointly launch a full-on Audio Production of that novel.
This isn’t some AI read aloud crap; it’s a full-on audio theater production, featuring a cast of professional actors, original music and high-end studio polish, and I think it represents the best vision for the Sword Punk aesthetic in the best package for this audience, bringing the story of Akio Prince and his war against the Deep State to life in vivid detail.
But … what the hell is Saving Seoul about?
The Synopsis
Akio Prince is one of the best in the world at a dying art.
He's put a lifetime of martial arts training to work in the arena, dueling with pulsing resin blades and carbon fiber for the masses. But winning championships is small consolation while his city is taken over by the Hachinin, ruthless criminals spreading corruption, violence and debauchery across the east.
When the same syndicate that claimed the life of Akio's master threatens the few friends he has left, he decides to make a stand.
After refusing to throw a fight at the behest of the city's kingpin, Akio enters a dangerous game of hunter and hunted--a bloody revenge tour that will push him to his limits and put his martial skills to the ultimate test.
In the near-future far-east, where heroes are hard to find, Akio discovers that a little bad might do a world of good.
Now, I know not all of you—hell, probably not most of you—read a lot of fiction, but I’ve always believed you can communicate MORE truths through that medium than whatever passes for non-fiction these days in a world of shadows and stories, though I do my best when it comes to the latter.
So, if you’re into Cyberpunk Ninjas, epic fight scenes, 80s action pulp and criminal conspiracies—and if you want to check out the story that takes much of its character inspiration from my own life and exploits outside of the written word—AND especially if you want to support whatever it is I do around these parts … pick up your Audio copy of Saving Seoul today.
(There’s a short sample you can check out to catch the vibe and see if it strikes your fancy.)
And for any who have a Kindle, the book is also available over at Amazon in digital format.
And until next time, stay Positive, stay Based and most importantly … stay Bright.

Maybe not my genre, but I will check out the Kindle version. As you know by now, your writing style triggers other metaphors for me. Songs and flying carpets, anyone? 😉
