An Exploration and Defense of Anonymity in Modern War

I’ll admit that this exploration is somewhat personal to me, and therefore dripping with all of the subjectivity, bias and skewed perspective that prospect might imply.

After all, for those who have been following my work for some time and for those new to it, it is no secret that I pen my prose, deploy my arguments, narratives and thoughts and even ‘appear’ on various podcasting and video platforms under an assumed name and an assumed symbol rather than the one I was born with and into.

Of course, it is no surprise that most of my writings, appearances and ensuing opinions are attacked by a small subset of the audience based on this very fact.

Anonymity.

It is a word and a concept whose connotation is somewhat difficult to parse at first blush. On the one hand, this concept comes with a baseline assumption of and furtherance of secrecy, and, in the words of one of my favorite historical figures of all time:

“The very word ‘secrecy’ is repugnant in a free and open society; and we are as a people inherently and historically opposed to secret societies, to secret oaths and to secret proceedings. We decided long ago that the dangers of excessive and unwarranted concealment of pertinent facts far outweighed the dangers which are cited to justify it.” - John F. Kennedy

While the context of this quote was an address to the American Free Press at the time and was steeped in the complexities of spy craft, disinformation and Narrative Warfare at the height of the Cold War, where media platforms and apparatus operated in much the same manner as they do today—namely to protect the secrecy of those Systems they were designed to shield from the cold and judging light of a collective American populace grown restless with cloaks and shadows—it retains relevance today.

I live by these words in reference to the continued exposure of the System of Systems, where the Media Industrial Complex myself and others in this community stand so starkly opposed to has itself existed solely to obfuscate and obscure on behalf of a corrupt and, yes, evil Cabal of politicians, corporations, ‘leaders’ and self-described ‘Elites’ who have and would lord over us as their implied lessers.

Their subjects. Their peasants and peons.

Their sheep.

Isn’t it an interesting and perhaps-sobering realization to have, then, that so much of the manner in which myself and so many other writers, thinkers, readers and researchers have chosen to engage with the Information War, the Shadow War or the war between Globalism and Sovereignty the world over appears to be rooted in secrecy—of identity, at least—and not necessarily in intent?

And therein lies the rub.

After all, while there exists a wide range of viewpoints regarding whether or not anonymity is itself a boon, a necessary evil or a part of the very problem we’re seeking to correct in the first place, surely intent plays a defining and essential role in determining where one falls in that Overton-esque window.

And while intent is impossible to gauge from one human being—or anonymous tiger—to another, I would argue that this intent can be parsed, guessed at and taken accounting of in at least a directional sense based on the Net Effect of the arguments, inspiration—or lack thereof—and rhetorical deployments of the mind under the microscope in the first place. After all, if the words, viewpoints and influence of even an anonymous account result in the Net exposure of some small aspect of the Deep State System of Systems, and if said exposure was confidently asserted, deployed or researched in the first place due in some small part to the personal security implied in anonymity, was it not worthwhile?

Was it not, in some situations preferred to the alternative?

Let me not mince words or hide the fact that anonymity—for both altruistic and nefarious means—can also be rooted in fear: fear for one’s career and job prospects, fear for one’s family and personal security and even fear of public ridicule and harassment. These are worthy aspects of the Information War to consider, especially when one sets out to write a few Russia-focused articles to get one’s thoughts out on digital paper, unaware of the fact that such work will eventually be read by a growing audience of thousands—even tens of thousands.

It is therefore not my intention to reprimand those who would harbor a natural distrust of those who hide their true names and faces in this information war, but I would suggest that the reasons for doing so extend far beyond the aforementioned fear narratives just as I would remind readers that, just because one is public with his face and/or name does not mean his intent is well-founded.

After all, how many of the Deep State and Media charlatans we expose around these parts have public faces, names and histories? How many hide behind the very same when it turns out they have been wolves in sheep’s clothing all along?

Of course, my appeal to this community likely finds far more agreement on the relative worth of and continuance of anonymity than in the general population due in no small part to the fact that much of what we consider the ‘Truth Community’ was born in digital realms founded on the very concept of anonymity in the first place.

From the Chans to Social Media platforms, comments sections to blogs and video essays, and even stretching back to the anonymous letters penned by and to the Founding Fathers themselves in the darkest days of the American Revolution, Anons have come to define what it is to be a digital soldier. And make no mistake, as General Michael T. Flynn will be the first to tell you, each and every one of you reading these words are engaging in Fifth-Generation Psychological Warfare, just as everyone who watches the X22 Report, Badlands Media, the Devolution Power Hour or, hell, even Donald Trump’s Truth Social posts are engaging in the very same.

Most of you reading this today are either followers of or aware of the Q Operation, which myself and others argue is the largest Military Disclosure and Information Dissemination Program ever launched in service OF the American people rather than AGAINST it, and for both strategic and perhaps even National Security reasons, this Op is—and likely always will be—anonymous in nature.

This should clue you in to some of the advantages inherent in the act of parsing and disseminating information and ideas under the shield of anonymity that stretches beyond the bounds of fear and self-servitude. After all, if the information presented in the Q Drops was coming from known specific names with known histories and therefore, known biases, would the information be absorbed and disseminated with the same level of open and clear-mindedness as it has been? Would it have prompted the awakening in as many people as it did and as it continues to do?

While my own reasons for remaining anonymous at this point in my budding ‘career’ as … whatever it is I do around these parts certainly stray into both camps—from the practical and cautious to the intentional—I do believe that doing so has allowed my ideas to sink or swim on their own merits, and my audience to grow on the strength and cognitive and emotional effect those arguments, theories and suppositions have visited upon this growing collective within the larger collective.

You see, the idea is the thing, at the end of the day. Ideas are the new weaponry, and ideas have been shackled and chained for far too long. The expression of them, the holding of them and the sharing of them has been reined in and suppressed, tamped down and even crushed when they stray too far outside of the bounds often placed upon assumed identity and cultural standing.

Remember, we are locked in a war of influence, and Information is the weapon of choice by all sides on the Game Theory game board. Just as one side seeks to obscure and to keep hidden, the other seeks to expose. Just as one side seeks to hide behind emotion and circular logic, the other seeks to delve and to dig, to unearth and to argue so that the Collective Mind might be woken from its long and disastrous engineered slumber.

Anons are not the only ones fighting this information war, engaging with Open-Source Intelligence or writing and commenting about it to a growing audience, of course; there exists a plurality of needed public figures, from the Administrative and Political to the editorial and entertaining, and these figures are to be commended when they engage in the furtherance of and defense of truth, just as their ideas are to be treated with the same sense of discernment and dissection as the most obscured and ‘hidden’ among us.

I often discuss the concept of Bicameral Thinking at Burning Bright, imploring my readers to take seemingly-contradictory ideas or paradigms to their natural conclusions when parsing the Information War in order to see which better collapses into the realm of the real based on ongoing Actual Events and reveals. Whichever of these paradigms better ‘maps’ onto observable reality stands as a better representation of that elusive and essential core of truth that we have each been called to seek out and to serve in our own ways.

And you should apply this same Bicameral mindset to those whose ideas, commentary and even personalities you follow, from the Halls of Congress to the digital battlefields you roam in search of that next bright light of hope that calls out to you, or that next dark truth that taunts you into the act of exposing it.

Remember that YOU are the key to the Information War, the Mind War and the war for humanity itself, because you ARE a part of that Collective Mind that all sides on the battlefield seek to control and to wield.

You are the key because you are a part of the ‘We’ that will always be a swirling, chaotic and yes, even beautiful paradox of disparate and disagreeable cognition unified in spiritual, emotional and intellectual intent as we attempt to get to the heart of it all, and reveal the truth that rests at the foundation of a mountain of lies piled atop it.

I appeal to symbols and even to fiction frequently in my writing because I believe in the power of each, and that power is capable of both serving the truth and standing opposed to it.

But all weapons on all battlefields—from the psychological to the kinetic and everything in between—are tools, and tools can be wielded by any with the means, the might and the intention to wield them.

Burning Bright is a lie because it is not who I am, and yet, over the course of the last year as I have continued to solidify what it is that I do here and what effect I can have, it feels closer to the truth in my heart and soul than anything I have done under the name I was granted and the form it rests upon—the creation that gave birth to this creation, and the real that crafted the unreal.

The Truth is the Truth, no matter the mind that unearths it or the form that discovers it, and in learning how to recognize it when you see it, you can rest in the knowledge that attempts to wield symbols to distort it or deception to obfuscate it will crack and splinter like brittle shards under a sharpened mind with directed will.

A wolf is a wolf, and whether he wears the cloak of a sheep or goes boldly in the night, loping like a wraith in the threatening shadows, dark things scatter in the thrown light.

So when the Information War threatens to overwhelm you, and when so many jackals and crows have been revealed to make you guess at which is which until your mind is prone to paranoia and defeat, take a pause and remember that you are the master of your own mind, and your own discernment.

Pick up the torch, and cast your light, and let the truth reflect back its mirrored light like jewels, and let the shadows fall where they may.
