Posted on Social Media by our 36 year old son, an army officer vet, husband and father:

Charlie Kirk said all the right things. He was one of the most influential political figures for our young generation.

He was TOO good at what he did. And they just couldn’t let that stand.

Charlie died doing the important work of opening dialogue between two polar political opposite halves of this great nation. It’s my hope that our loss of Charlie is a catalyst for a ‘national reset,’ and for us all to come together as Americans. I know that’s what Charlie would want. Unfortunately I believe this tragedy will have exactly the opposite effect.

I do consider myself a rational, decent person. And even knowing in my heart that Charlie would want us to have MORE open dialogue with our political adversaries even after his own death… it’s just so difficult for me to hold onto that mindset. It’s so difficult to stamp out that heartbreak and anger and think “we need to come together.” My heart wants justice and it wants peace at the same.

I can’t help but think… if a rational person such as myself is struggling so hard with this, I can’t imagine what the rest of this country is going through. I’m nauseous at the thought that we are on the precipice of something very big and bad.

Every American patriot father of their family’s household is wholly preoccupied tonight with thoughts of whether they’ve done enough to prepare their family for possible turmoil. If they have what it takes to keep their family safe, and happy, and healthy in these trying times. “Charlie Kirk *died* standing up for his values. Will I actually have to die for mine? Will it really come to that?”

I held my family a lot closer today. Tried my best to put on a happy face for my kid as he asked “Can Dad put me to bed tonight?”

I don’t know. I’m just a nobody. One of millions of people around the world posting their thoughts about Charlie Kirk on social media today. These are just some of the things that have been rolling around in my head all afternoon.

Charlie knew this country can heal and its citizenry can find common ground, but it requires open dialogue and communication. We can’t forget that.

I’ll never forget September 10, 2025.

I’ll never forget Charlie Kirk.

Very well said.

"Jarring" is the word I keep using, but on the other hand, seeing the response must have evil pretty rattled.

Turns out, patriots don't want to kill. They want justice, and they have resolve.

It’s been such a long time since I’ve had the opportunity to really sit down and read anything. When this notification popped up this morning I was drawn to it and am thankful for that. Not only was it good for my mind, it was good for my soul. Thank you for this this morning. Not just for your wisdom and words but for giving me a feeling of lightness to make it through today. ❤️🇺🇸

Thank you, Dawn. It's good to hear sometimes these streams of consciousness help in some way.

While listening to the events yesterday, I tried hard to hear past the noise which wasn't easy. Part of it is sorting through the natural grief reaction - anger, shock, etc. But you could hear the notes of the subtle push to "avenge Charlie". BB is right - don't give them the war.

That doesn't mean this just gets a pass. But the outcome needs to be on our terms, not theirs.

Burning Bright's avatar

It was a sobering day.

Fully agree with your conclusion.

Hello from France 🇫🇷, Burning Bright 🐯 !

My health doesn't allow me to follow and participate on both Badlands and here as I'd like to and I do regret it !

I concur 💯/💯 with cgg's conclusion too, because it is on the same tone as my latest comment/note:

I wish you a happy weekend with your newly extended family! Friendly 🇫🇷 congrats!

Well said BB. The DS Rat Bastards are in their death throes and we have to be prepared for all that they will throw our way. It is now that we will see how evil they truly are.

The good news is we are very close and that makes me even Brighter:-)

God Wins!

God Bless!!!

Great thoughts for today, thank you BB, I think we all needed to hear your voice of reason. It occurred to me as I witnessed Charlie Kirk being assassinated right in front of the entire world, that what the deep state and the villains have set out to do is to overshadow the 9/11 twin towers coming down. They want to burry the truth before it is exposed. Every news station today is focused on Charlie Kirk…they will stop at nothing to protect their vile rhetoric and actions.

Burning Bright's avatar

Much appreciated, Terry.

I think the 9/11 angle is one possibility, among a host of others.

Either way, it's good to see MOST in the Truth Community unwilling to accept the patsie narrative.

I've listened and learned and read following Badlands and others when I can listen live or replay. Those 10:30 pm start times are a killer now for me on the East Coast as I get older now. The Narrative, is now burned into my brain. I had learned enough about the extent to which military psy op units can make anything look real. I knew by 2024, having to see a replay as I was not home to watch Butler live, that I was going to evaluate the replay to see what I did see and what I didn't see myself. I did NOT see the bullet his an certain ear, but there was plenty of time to apply red liquid to a face, then pop up. Plus shortly thereafter, a bunch of 17 comms appeared. I now trust my gut, the narrative is what sways emotions. But I've learned the 48=72 hr rule to wait and see what unfolds. Again, I was NOT watching, only heard. while watching a podcast at the same time Charlie (if an actor or not, I don't know or even real) and followed the live chat as the people online were processing incoming news report. I was unmoved! Figured this must be another part of the narrative to bring in another targeted group of Americans. In short order, someone in the chat said Erika Kirk had posted Psm 46:1, before the event, and someone did a quick check of Q drop 461. And another on podcast, figured the days Charlie has spent on earth, the digits slight out of order, but like 11,654 (=17). Aha, my inclination to wait paid off, comms coming through already!

Mike King has a done a good job, for anyone not into Badlands and you, BB, and Righteous Russia, in showing how Russia helped us since our 1776 Revolution!!

Friend nearby talked with me last night. Her daughter plays pool with mostly D young people. Even they were talking how Charlie didn't deserve this! So targeted group got the message.

In the doctor's office earlier yesterday, I shared Brad's Codex 9/11 with 3 people. Timely subject, they were receptive to getting the link on their cell phones. Hope it will open eyes. Even my liberal neighbor, I shared it after she recited a litany of ways society had changed as she taught school in her nearby home town. We commiserated at the deterioration of behavior and attitude of students. I dared to chance a broken neighbor relationship with Brad's non-partisan video. Hope she watches it, and we can talk. It will be a real break through if we can. She talked like a conservative but said she was a Democrat. I said I was an American as you are when I sent the links to her(even though she is African American).

You've done your work well, BB. Chris Paul, also, bringing that theme home. Now to keep my composure and figure out how to reply if and when people tell me the news of Charlie. I read enough on telegram to know he is alive, somewhere, in witness protection or safe place. He will appear sometime down the road when this movie with good actors is over! It can't come too soon for me. I am sick of not telling the truth and just going along with what the Boss and company are putting out. The show must go on to bring us together, got it. But sick of it. At 78, I want to live to see the end.

Burning Bright's avatar

I wouldn't really be onboard with that sort of an interpretation of the "movie" theory, and I don't actually think it would have the desired effect patriots would believe. I think the American people would be angry at being lied to so brazenly.

That said, I do believe there is a purpose to the response, and we have to lend our mandate to guiding it.

Sandra Levine's avatar

We have to play along with it. The narrative. We've been lied to for many years. Wake up world!

Congrats to you and your wife on your young son. Hope he grows up in a world better ordered than the last decades.

‘This is the enemy's death spiral, a frantic lashing out as their illusions shatter, where it always seems darkest before the dawn.’

My heart truly broke yesterday hearing of Charlie’s death. I’ve lost a couple of good friends too early in the past few weeks, yet this was more difficult in some ways because of his youth, his young children who will grow up without him, and what he stood for as a change agent. He was a positive influence for our youth and our nation and individually, he changed many minds, most importantly, those of the next generation of leaders. His faith is a rallying cry for us as individuals and as a nation to return to our Creator for guidance.

We must not let this dark week devolve our nation into the cabal’s desire for war.

Rest in Peace, Charle Kirk. You made a difference in our nation’s future.

Thank you, Fearless Tiger, for reminding us of the importance of peace as they become increasingly desperate and dangerous.

Burning Bright's avatar

I was never a big follower of Charlie's, but it was absolutely gutting, and seeing the response to it was affirming of the work he did.

ALtab's avatar

I wasn’t either, but kind of kept track of where he was working. He definitely left a legacy. (If this was actual or not, the result will likely be the same.)

As much as we need to take the time to grieve about yesterday’s tragic events, we need to to remember the mis direction over the past week from the tragic incident in Charlotte to the “Russian” drone incursion in Poland to the Israeli strike on Hamas in Qtar. Possibly even the Charlie Kirk assassin, it’s all the last moves of a desperate animal fight for its very survival. It’s meant to subvert the narrative which possibly the most explosive set of studies about Covid 19 the MRNA “vaccine” and the study of vaxxed/unvaccinated and the devastating results if this gains traction. We must grieve for Charlie but after that, we should make sure we honor Charlie by making sure we can do whatever is possible in stopping the left by keeping the pressure and start prosecuting the leaders of the left and hold them accountable. I say, keeping the pressure up on this one is a good way of fighting back in a non kinetic way, but much more effective. https://x.com/nichulscher/status/1965492776998682759?s=42

I pray for my enemies indeed.

As the psalmist:

Psalm 109

King James Version

109 Hold not thy peace, O God of my praise;

2 For the mouth of the wicked and the mouth of the deceitful are opened against me: they have spoken against me with a lying tongue.

3 They compassed me about also with words of hatred; and fought against me without a cause.

4 For my love they are my adversaries: but I give myself unto prayer.

5 And they have rewarded me evil for good, and hatred for my love.

6 Set thou a wicked man over him: and let Satan stand at his right hand.

7 When he shall be judged, let him be condemned: and let his prayer become sin.

8 Let his days be few; and let another take his office.

9 Let his children be fatherless, and his wife a widow.

10 Let his children be continually vagabonds, and beg: let them seek their bread also out of their desolate places.

11 Let the extortioner catch all that he hath; and let the strangers spoil his labour.

12 Let there be none to extend mercy unto him: neither let there be any to favour his fatherless children.

13 Let his posterity be cut off; and in the generation following let their name be blotted out.

14 Let the iniquity of his fathers be remembered with the Lord; and let not the sin of his mother be blotted out.

15 Let them be before the Lord continually, that he may cut off the memory of them from the earth.

16 Because that he remembered not to shew mercy, but persecuted the poor and needy man, that he might even slay the broken in heart.

17 As he loved cursing, so let it come unto him: as he delighted not in blessing, so let it be far from him.

18 As he clothed himself with cursing like as with his garment, so let it come into his bowels like water, and like oil into his bones.

19 Let it be unto him as the garment which covereth him, and for a girdle wherewith he is girded continually.

20 Let this be the reward of mine adversaries from the Lord, and of them that speak evil against my soul.

21 But do thou for me, O God the Lord, for thy name's sake: because thy mercy is good, deliver thou me.

22 For I am poor and needy, and my heart is wounded within me.

23 I am gone like the shadow when it declineth: I am tossed up and down as the locust.

24 My knees are weak through fasting; and my flesh faileth of fatness.

25 I became also a reproach unto them: when they looked upon me they shaked their heads.

26 Help me, O Lord my God: O save me according to thy mercy:

27 That they may know that this is thy hand; that thou, Lord, hast done it.

28 Let them curse, but bless thou: when they arise, let them be ashamed; but let thy servant rejoice.

29 Let mine adversaries be clothed with shame, and let them cover themselves with their own confusion, as with a mantle.

30 I will greatly praise the Lord with my mouth; yea, I will praise him among the multitude.

31 For he shall stand at the right hand of the poor, to save him from those that condemn his soul.

It will be done.

On earth as it is in heaven.

Thank you for your brilliant and much needed insights and intention in these dark hours. I agree that the effect of these real and fake and everything in between stories is to divide, conquer and enslave. I agree with you that they want war and that each of us has the power, in our grief, and our outrage, not to give it to them. You recently spoke on the Narrative of tightropes. I believe this is a universal and inescapable one, that if not walked, will lead to impending destruction into the timeless abyss. We can honor the fallen with truth and in that there is no war, unbearable loss, and grief, yes, but not war, and with it peace and the rising of the light. Rest in Peace Charlie Kirk. May we honor you and your family in truth.

As always, great stuff, BB. And this essay gives the key to navigating the whirlwind upon us.

Stories aren't just vital to understanding the world. Stories are the very (literally) substance of all experience. That's a thought provoked in me by something you said a while ago in one of many relevant conversations on Badlands. I've been ruminating since then, because it catalyzed something I've been teasing for a very long time.

Stories are ACTUALLY the only actuality we can know. Our experience is all in the form of stories we are told and the stories we tell ourselves. (That may even apply down to the sub-atomic level. Speculative.) Stories are "true" to the degree that they communicate the actual intentions in play in the various story-scapes of our lives, and those of others.

There is SO much more to this which I've been trying to find a way to write about, but haven't mastered the art of storytelling myself sufficiently to frame it. Would love to have a conversation sometime. A GART, perhaps, when I can manage to get to one.

I'll end this with a question to contemplate. The answer is far less important than contemplation of the question. The truth revealed is only meaningful as an experience, rather than an answer:

"Does consciousness manifest within the world, or does the world manifest within consciousness?"

Feel free to reach out if you fancy a bit of conversation. (Might even be a good episode topic.)

Burning Bright's avatar

Much appreciated, John.

This is really what I've been trying to get across through the 'War of Stories' refrain. Stories are much more literal and corporeal than most people believe, and yes, I believe they not only sum up the reaction to experience, but make up experience itself.

Would love to chat at a GART. Hope you can make it and drop a note here if you can.

Pondering the first martyr, St Stephen, of whom it was said--He spoke so well, So clearly, with such beauty on his face as he spoke that it drove the hypocritical pharisees quite mad, and they had to stone him...
