Okay. Well, maybe you CAN call it a bit of a comeback.

Some of you folks who’ve been cognitive soldiers within the Bright Army will remember the Bright Brief, which first began in the summer of 2022.

By popular request, I had decided to expand my writing beyond the Righteous Russia series, releasing briefer (obviously,) and more timely posts to this newsletter to give my readers my perspective on ongoing topics in the Information War that didn’t make it into my weekly long-form features.

While I have continued to provide long-form features—such as the ongoing Layer Cake series—and will continue to do so in the future, I have largely left more timely, news cycle and Info War-focused topics to discussions on my Podcast appearances on the Badlands Media Network.

These Podcasts—from Defected to Game Theory—are popular, and many of you engage with them, but I do know that many of you continue to engage with my mind only in writing form, which is totally understandable, as Podcasts take quite a bit of time to listen to, and, well, my writing is probably why you signed up to this newsletter in the first place.

Because of that fact, and due to a resurgence in requests from many of you folks in the comments section, in direct Emails and in messages attached to your generous coffee donations, I have decided to resuscitate the Bright Brief.

Where this concept went ‘wrong’ last year was that—in typical BB fashion—what was originally intended to be a daily or every other daily quick-hit newsletter turned into deep dives on virtually everything I discussed.

Contrary to some belief, while the support of this community is fantastic and humbling, I am not in a financial position to engage with this Info War on a full-time basis. I still work over 40 hours per week at my day job, in addition to running Burning Bright and helping out at Badlands Media.

So, my intent with bringing the Brief back is to give my readers more timely thoughts on the current/more immediate News and Info cycle, looping ongoing topics back to Burning Bright Macro Theories and concepts, while trying to keep myself … well, actually BRIEF in doing so.

I will also use these newsletters (2-3 per week) in order to consolidate Podcast/Show Links and announcements, as I have always found it a little distasteful to hit those of you who aren’t interested in the show links with direct Emails about them. I hope those of you who DO watch or listen to the shows continue to do so, and that, for those of you who do not, you find this format much more engaging, as you’ll still get some commentary in every Burning Bright mailer.

Since this first newsletter is meant to be something of a reintroduction, it’s only going to have one small section on the current news cycle. Next week, you can expect about 3 sections of similar length (BRIEF, remember?) in addition to any relevant Podcast announcements.

I’m doing my best to give you guys as much as possible while juggling my other responsibilities, so I hope you like the content. The first and only news item in this week’s Brief isn’t a news item at all.

Rather, it’s a summation of my Macro thoughts on the News Cycle in general—that being the ‘Story’ cycle the Collective Mind is being fed through a mix of the Media Industrial Complex’s obfuscation matrix, and the dueling Narratives put forth and seeded by patriots both nationally and internationally, as the Sovereign Alliance begins to make its intentions—and more importantly, its resolve—known to the Globalist Deep State on the world stage.

While much of the news cycle has been focused on the ongoing fallout—no pun intended—of the East Palestine, Ohio chemical disaster, what I’ve personally been focusing on is the seeming opportunity it has provided for both sides of the Game Theory game board to hold up a mirror of their intentions and visions for this great nation to the Collective Mind of American Society.

On the one hand, we’ve seen the Resident in the White House (or on the White House ‘set’) spend President’s Week begging for Western funding for the Globalist Proxy State of Ukraine, escalating World War 3 rhetoric against Russia while his own people suffer. And on the other hand, we have witnessed the true President of the United States—and the chosen leader of the America First movement, the founder of MAGA and the true cultural and sociopolitical power in the West, Donald Trump—visit ground zero in Ohio, painting a stark and unmissable contrast to his supposed successor.

It may seem reductive to those of us who follow the ins and outs and the various turnings of a Fifth-Generation Information War the vast majority of American society has no idea is even being waged, but the dichotomy being painted between Trump and Biden could not be more apparent if it had been scripted—read Layer Cake, everyone—and is NOT being lost on the ‘normies’ or the sleepers among us.

Trust me on that.

But this mirror goes FAR beyond East Palestine, Ohio, and extends across the Atlantic and stops off at the roiling Baltic en route to the tiger in the east, Vladimir Putin, as he does significantly more than merely postures at the continued affronts of Biden and his Globalist allies in NATO and the EU.

Putin’s recent remarks before Russian Parliament are not a warning that his stated goals of reunification with the Donbas region, carving out of Russian Sovereignty, and total, stark opposition to the collectivist system of the Globalist West are still in effect; they are a promise.

And Putin, we are increasingly learning, is not alone, as the Moscow visit of top Chinese diplomat Wang Yi—who made references to the mutual defense of sovereignty between Russia and China—is just a prelude of the media storm (ie: panic storm) en route to the Media Industrial Complex and the White House spox’ spin cycle that will result when Chinese President Xi Jinping makes good on his stated promise to visit Moscow himself in the near future to discuss the ongoing Special Military Operation in Prussian Ukraine, and his vision for shared cooperation with the emboldened—and growing—Russian Federation into the future.

And ALL of this posturing, circling, spitting and hissing is being done in the context of the one-year anniversary of Russia’s incursion into Ukraine, while Russian war ships move in the Baltic as Xi’s own fleet grows increasingly bold in the Taiwan Straight, provoking whispers of American responses.

I have long argued that we will have a Crisis Cascade that precedes and ultimately culminates in a grand, unifying Scare Event that will serve as an inflection point in the Information War—specifically, in the Mind War aspect of it—all while the American—and western—public are reminded with worrying frequency of the ineptitude and even the utter disregard of their current ‘leadership’ in the face of a growing and strengthening Sovereign Alliance among the BRICS nations.

And all while Donald Trump waits in the wings, injecting himself into this War of Stories at opportune times with steady reminders that serve to bolster his core and key promise to both friends and enemies: Trump the Peacemaker could end this budding war before it kicks off in earnest.

And I believe he will, as I argued at length in Righteous Russia — Part 4 — The Death of War.

The effect of this will be the solidification of Trump in the eyes of most of the western world as the de facto leader—the chosen leader— of Western Sovereignty.

The future cannot be built through destruction, but rather through creation. Through cooperation rather than subjugation.

We will have the America First, sovereign future we all dream of, so when you see the Crisis Cascade forming like the iced crystals of morning dew on a cold, late winter morning, don’t see it as the threat of winter so many of our sleeping fellows might, but rather as the promise of spring.

Game Theory Episode #10

Power Hour was off on Wednesday night (Just Human and I will join Jon Herold and Patrick Gunnels for a SUPER Power Hour on Saturday night,) but Game Theory turned 10 episodes old this week.

Sean Morgan and I had some initial trouble getting this one out of the starting blocks with a chaotic schedule at the close of 2022, but the show is really coming into its own in recent weeks, and the viewership continues to grow.

In Episode 10, Sean and I discussed the above escalatory topics, as well as the concept of Narrative Whiplash, and how it’s going to play into the Crisis Cascade in a massive way as 2023 goes on.
