The Real War Is a War for the Future, and It’s One We’re Winning

For several years now, I have held that a major pillar of Donald Trump’s promised Golden Age—if not THE major pillar—rests in the actualization of an American Nuclear Renaissance.

Not the cartoon version peddled for decades by the scarcity priests, but the real thing: dense, always-on, sovereign power that turns energy from a political weapon into a background condition of abundance—the same abundance that makes data centers, factories, desalination plants, and yes, the machines that think possible at scale without courting the sourt of doomsday scenarios popularized across nearly a century of mass market dystopian fiction masquerading as history.

That renaissance could never arrive on the back of a pure technical argument alone, as I believe and have argued that a full century of Hegelian engineering had to be disentangled from the global mind first … a process that is well underway.

After all, as I argued in 2024, nuclear technology was deliberately married to mushroom clouds and extinction in the popular imagination so that the alternative—cheap, firm, industrial power—would remain psychologically radioactive.

I have long argued that Trump is engineering this disentanglement in concert with other players inside what I first named the Sovereign Alliance, with Vladimir Putin, Xi Jinping and Mohammed bin Salman among them.

The method is classic fifth-generation warfare.

You do not simply declare the old nightmare narrative dead.

Instead, you invert it in public view, forcing the Collective mind to watch the inversion happen, while somewhat ironically allowing the cognitive dissonance that arises therein to do the heavy lifting.

This week, Trump’s inversion accelerated, as he is visibly moving the goalposts on his former hardline posture against the nuclearization of former adversarial states.

Iran’s program is being reframed in civil energy terms and guilded in Golden Age and multipolar rhetoric.

The Saudis are being offered a pathway that includes the possibility of enrichment under American technological supervision.

The headlines scream risk, but the signal can’t be mistaken.

What appeared for years to be a global de-nuclearization campaign was always, in my reading narrative cover for a controlled re-nuclearization of the civil sector, with the fear story running cover while the actuals were being quitly prepared, which is why I believe even Trump’s re-framing of The Manhattan Project is signal all its own.

Those actuals are only now being disclosed at the precise moment the Collective Mind is ready—or at least forced—to register them, as I argued in detail last year.

Denuclearization is RE-nuclearization.

Russia is not stumping for war. They’re rapidly rebranding Trump’s denuclearization narrative by bringing up the all-important question of enrichment I was actually commenting on several weeks ago.

Or did you miss the fact that Trump is simultaneously leading us into a new nuclear age of prosperity while ostensibly destroying the Hegelian one en route?

He needs help in doing that, and the Russians are leading the charge, championing Iran’s nuclear program not as a means of war-making, but of future-building.

This isn’t a divergence. It’s a convergence.

And we’re going to like how the movie ends.

The apparent hedging between Trump and the Saudis, then is not indicative of indecision, but mutual narrative leverage against the old paradigm they’re tearing down.

Nuclear capacity is being deployed as a carrot that forces regions of responsibility and stability, as the promise of a cascading nuclear renaissance becomes the very thing that can stave off future wars.

In other words, I believe the Nuclear Narrative is being inverted from one synonymous with Armageddon into one synonymous with peace and prosperity.

To wit, watch how quickly the old non-proliferation absolutists suddenly discover that ‘responsible’ enrichment under sovereign American partnership is preferable to the alternatives they spent decades enabling through inaction and selective blindness.

The macro narrative of de-nuclearization to re-nuclearization has not yet fully played out on the long game between the United States and Russia, even if Trump and Putin have been preparing, for years, their own re-run of the Kennedy-Khrushchev dialectic.

The difference this time is decisive.

Last century, the fear narrative won and the civil nuclear boom that should have followed was strangled in its cradle, even if Kennedy and Khrushchev managed to stave off the world war the powers that would be have been attempting to saddle the Christian man with since the close of the last one.

This time, with Trump and Putin at the helm, I believe the dialectic is being steered toward a Civil Nuclear Energy boom in both East and Wes, as the same bilateral tension that once produced mutually-assured destruction is being redirected into mutually-assured abundance, with the smoke of the old forever-war theater clearing just enough for the public to see the reactors rising behind it, not as harbingers of doom, but pillars of hope for a future made out of the past they stole from us.

And that’s only the beginning of the Trump-Kennedy rabbit hole …

And the machine knows this, even if their admissions take a few reads to fully register through inverted framing.

Running in parallel to the Nuclear Dreams versus Nightmare dialectic is the one unfolding inside the rapidly-accelerating realm of artificial intelligence, wherein I would argue that an intra-AI civil war is underway for control of the future of that accelerating technology, with the other half of the Golden Age, Age of Abundance push advanced by Trump and Elon Musk being countered in real time by subversive snakes in the grass.

To wit, Sam Altman of OpenAI and Dario Amodei of Anthropic currently occupy the narrative high ground in the Western mindscape, while both are, in my estimation actively working to subvert the very Golden Age they publicly purport to advance.

Both are doubling down on closed-weight, walled-garden models while simultaneously staging a series of cartoonishly convenient internal security failures that demonstrate, in living color, the inherent dangers of the very technology they advance, all so they might be granted Narrative Shielding to turn to Western globalist governments and the US Congress to plead for the strict regulations that would lock their preferred architecture in place while locking everyone else out, effectively king-making the new lords of the emergent AI age before the Realm of the Real can even suss out what it could be, and what it could bring.

And you know what?

Both globalist media and large swaths of MAGA media are falling for the false dialectic, with one side selling while the other is buying wholesale into the anti-AI, anti-data-center hysteria that has been engineered from the start by NGOs, foundations and the same centralizing institutions that have correctly identified abundant intelligence fused with abundant energy as an existential threat to their control grid.

That grid requires scarcity, centralization and timeline management.

Data centers force the opposite.

They are energy sinks of historic proportion. They make intermittent renewables look like the scarcity cult they always were. They demand firm, dense, always-on power—nuclear, advanced geothermal, whatever actually works at scale.

The enemy does not fear data centers because they are thirsty or ugly, then.

The enemy fears them because they are the physical manifestation of American industrial will reconstituting itself at the precise moment the old scarcity narratives are collapsing, as I argued in depth in a recent Brief.

Ironically, however, just as the nuclear energy race between the United States and its sovereign counterparts is granting each side the narrative shielding required to go full bore into a new nuclear age, China has kicked off an AI arms race with the West that prioritizes the very open-weight and open-source models capable of rendering the walled-garden approach of Altman, Amodei and company obsolete.

The Chinese open models are not merely competitive; they are arriving at a cost structure and with a release philosophy that makes closed Western frontier models look like expensive boutique products maintained for regulatory capture rather than genuine capability.

Because that’s exactly what they are.

Far from representing the sort of existential threat the MAGA Media fears, then, this China dynamic hands Trump the precise shielding he requires to prioritize and accelerate the open-sourcing of artificial intelligence under a national-security banner.

To wit, when the alternative is ceding the future of intelligence itself to Beijing’s open weights, even the most regulation-happy voices in Washington will find themselves forced into a different posture.

This seeming arms race—and all the others beside it—is a Sovereign Alliance deployment.

The pattern is now unmistakable if you have been tracking the signal rather than the noise.

The twin technological pushes—artificial intelligence and the American Energy Renaissance, beginning with, but not limited to nuclear—are no longer separable. Data centers create the demand signal that accelerates reactor manufacturing, fuel-cycle jobs and transmission builds.

Under this context, nuclear power, once framed as the apocalypse becomes the only practical substrate capable of supporting the compute density the new age requires.

The tools we were told to fear the most are paving the path to the Golden Age, while the energy we were told would blow us up is instead preparing to blast us off into an Age of Abundance that few thought possible and fewer still believed we were allowed to want.

This is what they stole from us: the future in which energy and intelligence compound rather than constrain, and we are taking it back, not through a single dramatic announcement, but through the slow, public inversion of every narrative that once made that future unthinkable.

And so, as the War of Stories marches on, the storytellers who built the nightmare are watching their own dialectics turn against them in real time, while the rest of us get to decide whether we recognize the signal while it is still forming, or whether we wait for the matrix to finish the argument for us.
