The Narrative Episode 3 - Devolution Evolution
Breaking Down the Psychological Aspects of Continuity of Government Operations
Bright Army!
First of all, THANK YOU so much to those of you who’ve been tuning into The Narrative over the course of its first three weeks, as it’s the first show I’ve led on
.The response thus far has been amazing; we had over 10,000 watching live during the debut and over 8,000 watching the last two shows, and I know that’s during a time full of distraction and honestly, financial stress for many.
Not bad for a podcast that’s going head-to-head with Sunday Night Football and on the doorstep of Christmas!
On The Narrative, we leave readings of the Actual to the side and focus exclusively on the effect of Stories from the past, present and future on the Collective American Mind.
Every week, I’ll be joined by a different Info Warrior as we use a combination of cognitive cyphers, game theory and pattern recognition to more effectively navigate the Info War without succumbing to it.
After all, the War is a Story, and the Story is a War.
In Episode 3, I was joined by my frequent co-host and sometimes-friend
, founder of and writer of the Devolution Series that started it all for him in the Info War.While we spent some time in the early going discussing the current narratives at work in Syria, France and beyond, the meat of our discussion in the second half of the show focused on revisiting some of the key figures of the theorized Devolution Operation, the Psychological and Narrative aspects of the most complex Military Operation of all time, and how successful we feel it’s been up to this point in time with the benefit of Info War hindsight.
(Since Jon is a family man, he had to pull himself away from the show on a couple occasions in the first half, so apologies for my solo filibustering, but I tried to make it as cohesive and entertaining as possible in the interim, and we ended up having what I think was a great discussion.)
In other news, while I haven’t been able to churn out a new feature in the last week, my latest was an absolute behemoth that took a lot out of me, in a good way.
Please consider checking out and sharing my recent retrospective and projection piece, ‘The Wars to Come,’ which seeks to crystalize the present moment in the Mind War and the War of Stories, using the journey so far to forecast those to come for those of us who’ll never stop fighting it.
Again, I know the holidays are trying times for many, and I greatly appreciate any financial support you folks continue to provide in the form of Paid Subscriptions or one-time Coffee Donations, just as I ALSO understand when folks need to unsubscribe when they’re stretched too thin.
All of this work is free, all content will always be free, and any and all support you folks choose to provide is more appreciated than you know.
I also know that I haven’t been able to get into the comments section hereabouts in the last few months, and I apologize for that, while I still do read every one and love seeing the discussions you folks have with each other. I DO plan to get back in there when I can—I even know the specific feature from this summer I left off on—but it can be difficult juggling my day job with my Info Warring and family duties.
Either way, for now, please know that I see you, and I value your presence in these digital pages.
Burning Bright’s goal is to provide a valuable resource for Truth, Discernment and Logic-Based Positivity, and all of my content is free. To receive new posts and support my work, consider becoming a Free or Paid Subscriber.

ALL members of the growing Bright Army are appreciated.
You and your "sometimes-friend" are always good together. I think your new show is a gem. Jon's little guy just made it all the more entertaining. You have the chops to do a solo show, so Jon's absences were fine.
I hope you get back to your fictional writing someday soon, BB. Perhaps a screenplay for a fantastic movie? In the meantime, if the "ghosts in the machine" were smart, they'd be contacting you right now for possible narratives...just sayin'.
BB, you’re doing a great thing with your new show! I love it and especially like the different cohosts each week. It’s an excellent concept only you could do. We were all sad to see “Defected” end, but you’ve replaced it with an awesome show! Thank you and you finally hosting a show was worth the wait! God Bless you, fren!❤️🙏
