From Death Blossoms to Death Spirals, the Deep State is Screwed

Several years ago, I wrote the following for

Badlands Media

, attempting to describe what I saw as an establishment Death Blossom that was being provoked by the one and only ‘Master’ of narrative warfare, Donald Trump.

Trump’s deployments in this Fifth-Gen War are almost always Potential in nature.

By this I mean they are rarely kinetic, even when he was (public) Commander-in-Chief of the most powerful military in the world, and they are rarely Actual even in the political realm, in terms of overt moves and countermoves. No, his best moves are also his most oft-deployed, and these exist in the realm of the Narrative.

When I refer to Donald Trump as a ‘Master,’ I am referring to his ability to provoke all sides into strong engagement with whatever story he chooses to tell. Where many—even those in this community and ostensibly on Trump’s side—often fall prey to his cleverness, however, is in the reactions such Narrative Deployments provoke.

While these reactions are understandable and even expected, they often appear to be silly and even embarrassing in hindsight, and when the emotional tides recede, we are usually left with a section of the game board that has been rendered in more stark, obvious detail to us—and most certainly, to Trump and his allies—than it was before he took the stage for his latest psychological magic trick. — from ‘Death Blossom’

Of course, that particular section from the 2022 feature, broad as it is has held up pretty well will get no argument from this readership. After all, most of you have made your way through the ongoing and seemingly-unending deep dive on Trump’s fifth-gen warfighting strategies in the aforementioned series.

(And if you haven’t … I promised that doing so is going to give you a much clearer picture of the man behind the myth, and the legend in the making not because of the story he’s a part of, but because of his role in crafting it.)

And yet, the reason I resurface this particular piece of writing now is owing to the fact that I believe we’re seeing a transition from the ‘Death Blossom’ phase, which you might characterize as having taken place largely between 2015 (the announcement of Trump’s candidacy,) and 2024 (the ending of the proxy presidency—and I do mean that in a Bicameral sense of the word—of one Joseph R. Biden,) to a Death Spiral.

As I described at the time, a Death Blossom generally refers to the kinetic reaction a panicked or hemmed in enemy triggers when he's reaching the end of his rope, and is one of the most oft-cited analogies when it comes to tracking the ideological or physical retreat of said enemy.

You might refer to this as a 'fighting retreat.'

Perhaps one of the most obvious and entertaining examples of this phenomenon occurs in 1987’s Predator, wherein Dutch (Arnold Schwarzenegger) and the gang of elite commandos are shadowed and tracked by an otherworldly hunter for days in the jungle.

As the Predator takes out members of the squad one by one, panic begins to set in.

Where Dutch gets more and more calm as the chaos sets in around him, other members of the group are less steady, and one of the most iconic scenes in the film features the group firing into the jungle in a mix of mania, catharsis and desperation to be rid of a threat some of them have believed only exists in their minds up to that point.

Later on, when the group has been whittled down, Carl Weathers' character Dillon finds himself in the Predator's sights, and after being mortally wounded, he mimics the earlier scene, firing into the jungle in a blind and solitary death blossom, and while this move is ultimately futile, it does manage to wound the Predator, proving to the surviving Dutch that the creature is not only real, but that it can bleed.

While the scenes have some similarities, the siloed and panicked nature of Dillon’s death compared with the controlled chaos of the initial blossom of the special forces unit works as a shockingly apt analogue to the difference between the System’s kinetic, albeit controlled panic circa 2016 and even 2020 and the mood they find themselves in now, still hunted by the sovereign movement, its progenitors and its heirs and yet, more exposed, more siloed and more bereft of ammunition than ever before.

I’ve referred to this controlled siloing process as the Deep State Archipelago, and I see the systematic cutting off of communications and controls from one vector of Deep State power projection to another as one of the key ways in which patriots have prepped the battlespace over the last eight years in preparation for the final hunt … which is now on in full.

In the context of the Deep State, I believe the 2024 election cycle was a Death Blossom, the stage of the game where they began firing blindly (and literally,) revealing themselves and their ultimate aims to the people in a last desperate bid to be rid of Trump and the movement he represents: that's us.

In so doing, they revealed themselves as the collectivist beast we've drawn them as for years.

Death Blossoms are dangerous, but ultimately, they can be weathered.

Death Spirals are different. Decidedly so, and I think we're seeing the Deep State transition from the former to the latter as Trump makes good on his promises, and as the people seize the mass psychological momentum inherent in him doing so.

Put another way, I believe the Deep State is caught in a horror movie of their own making, and I believe they’re starting to realize it.

They are caught in a self-imposed Death Spiral in the place of a former Death Blossom—after all, we were told long ago that ammunition spent was ultimately finite, were we not?—wherein their public attempts to resist the Common Sense deployments of the Golden Age agenda are accelerating the very actualization of that agenda.

Consider the fact that the American public is seeing the System panic at the very prospect of transparency, before we even peek behind the curtain.

This is an untenable position for them to occupy on both an Actual and Narrative level.

On an Actual level, public resistance to Trump’s agenda is triggering a series of legal and constitutional challenges that are and will result in the very precedent setting we’ve been calling for for years, with Trump’s Supreme Court acting as both the ultimate backstop and change engine to codify the long-term transformation of a system that lords over the people to one that once more serves us.

That said, it’s in the narrative where the Establishment truly finds themselves on the back foot, and I believe their public panic pattern is indicative both of their obvious fear at the ultimate endgame of this era and the fact that they know this change process can happen very slowly, and then all at once.

To wit, when we look at the recent targeting and exposure of USAID by the DOGE—the first of MANY exposures to come—it’s much more Narrative than Actual.

Yes, the agency and many more like it are being dismantled, and its workforce spit back into the true American economy where they can either swim in the emergent and revitalized free market or sink to scratch a parasitic living off the increasingly precarious welfare state, but the story of that dismantling is following a death spiral pattern akin to those sometimes seen in the animal kingdom, specifically in ant colonies.

For any who aren’t aware, ants basically make all decisions based on signals put out by their fellows. They’re as close a thing to perfect AI automatons as we have in nature, and I’ve always been quite fascinated by them.

(Author’s Note: As a child, I actually used to spend hours upon hours watching ants traverse my yard, hunt, gather and seemingly communicate rather than playing in the traditional way. My mother found this endearing, my father concerning. I suppose it’s up to you folks how it all turned out!)

One of the key ways ants set and follow signal is in the emitting and receiving of pheromone trails. This allows one node in the network to alternatively warn or attract its fellows, and is the reason a single ant finding a cache of food will soon result in a swarm wherein half the colony empties out to gather it.

The thing is, the first node NEEDS to return to the hive and close the loop in order for the rest of the colony to pick up the trail and make the connection. Sometimes, that lead ant screws up, and switches from signal emitting to receiving mid stream. This can result in that ant following its own pheromone trail before the loop has been closed.

What follows is as fascinating as it is disturbing.

As seen in the above demonstration, if no other ant picks up the trail, the lead ant will simply continue on in an open loop until it dies, or the trail fades. But if another ant picks up the trail, and then another, they add their own faulty signals to the mix, with each ant acting as a force multiplier to the destruction of the very colony it seeks to preserve and expand.

This creates a death spiral pattern wherein each respective node in the network is following the trail left by the one in front of it … and since we know the lead node never closed the loop in the first place, this creates a self perpetuating feedback loop that can and often does result in thousands of ants quite literally spinning themselves into a void of oblivion, following a path to nothing that grows increasingly frenzied the closer the whole swarm draws in to the center, which is to say, death.

Why apply this seemingly stretched analogy to the current position of the Establishment?

They have no signal setter at present, no centralized command and control structure, and they have no Actual solution—no actual pathway through which to deal with Trump’s assault.

In other words, they have an open loop they’re desperately trying to close.

What results is a sporadic panic pattern wherein various nodes in the network begin to lay trails of fear and decision making, premature counter deployments and even attacks on Trump’s agenda that the others follow, not understanding they’re following pheromone trails to nothing until they’re already set along the path.

This is why I have long argued that the very interconnectedness of the Deep State will ultimately prove to be its undoing.

In the end, on an Actual level, all Trump needs to do is pull the threads, and the ball will unravel itself in a desperate bid to escape notice, thereby exponentially increasing both the rate of its own unraveling and, most importantly, the attention that unraveling provokes within the Collective American Mind … which is rather the point of it all, isn’t it?

This is also the reason Trump spent so long harrassing and provoking the enemy hive over the better part of a decade rather than going in through the front door.

Infiltration, not invasion.

It's a principle as much as a strategy, and it's been used to subvert empires throughout history. And the thing about principles is ... they're open source.

You see, the System isn’t going to be taken down from the outside in, but from the inside out. It has been provoked into defending the indefensible, and in so doing, it has defined itself in accordance with the very tenets it so venomously denies.

These revelations aren’t coming from Trump, Elon Musk or even Anons in the Info War, even if that’s where they started … they’re coming from the System itself, as its very attempts to escape a death spiral that has already reached gravitational permanence increases its rate of spin, and accelerates its ending, which is to say, their ending.

The machine’s resistance to its own dismantling isn’t just something that was accounted for as part of the plan … it’s the core feature of the plan.

The loop can’t be closed, because WE are the lead node, and the colony already picked up the trail that leads them back to their own destruction.

Put another way, the call is coming from inside the house, and the Deep State already answered the phone.

Returning to the movie that inspired my original writings on Death Blossoms, you should have learned by now that in this war, you’re not Dutch or Dillon, macho and powerful as they seem.

You’re the Predator, and you’re watching a subversive enemy system—a colony of insects—devolve into a doom loop of its own making amidst the death and detritus of the forest floor.

Start acting like it.
