I still have some people in my life whose minds are so entrained to the msm that we have have adjusted to not bringing up anything going on at all because the clash on their part is so instantaneous and intense. I often wonder what it will take to wake them up. I hope their waking up is inevitable!
One tactic I have seen mentioned on substack is to gently ask them 'why' when they 'clash' with you. As in 'Why do you think that?' Open-ended, non-judgmental questions. Let them talk. Then follow up if their answer is incomplete. Try to follow the chain of logic to a rational endpoint. You never tell them anything (unless they ask), you just ask them what they believe and why.
Forced introspection can bring them around to realizing that they have no rational reason for their belief, but rather only emotional or quasi-religious feelings.
This might take some patient repetition, but the point is to get them to face the fact that their beliefs are not based on a solid foundation, and are instead sort of like the hypnotist at the high-school assembly who hypnotizes one of the students to 'stand up and bark loudly, like a dog' when he says a certain word. 'Potato,' for instance.
I've not tried this myself, but it sounds sensible to me. Worth a try, and since it is non-confrontational (at least on your part) your dialog partner cannot accuse you of that in which (s)he is partaking -- irrational and emotional feelings masquerading as true thoughts and reasoned belief.

I’ve also observed that they will throw out statements which are word for word alike and clearly repeating a msm narrative.
At this point, I sense they are walling off any inner nudge that they may be wrong. I feel compassion…if the truth ever breaks down that wall and they realize the extent to which they have been psychologically manipulated, well, it could be rather painful. I am determined to take a humble approach then.
A wonderful and, for me at least, much needed mental emotional housecleaning..the clutter of having taken in too much information on everything today has been straightened up and some clarity of order prevails again. I usually try to balance myself by staying informed vs inundated … today I lost that balance a bit.
There is a definite palatable tension across the land right now. We all feel it I’m sure. When I checked to see if there was a new BurningBright to read…a sigh of relief!
We stay calm. We hold the line and advance when we can. While I've been blessed to cultivate a growing community of you folks, I have been feeling pressure to cover everything going on in the world. Thanks to being raised by people who fled tyranny, I've been awake most of my life. I now live in the Keystone State - historically the Cradle of Liberty. What I have seen and experienced here and elsewhere in America pains me tremendously, especially when people assume that our most dishonest politicians were knowingly elected. I've seen enough from my time in local politics to know that there are many opportunities to 'massage' electoral outcomes, whether physically or digitally. Money and power corrupt, as has been true since time immemorial.
We have a challenging journey back to our founding principles. Even so, most of my neighbors are truly good people and we live 95% of our lives similarly. We love our families, raise our children to value education, service and family. We work and pay our taxes and most of us do our part to keep up the appearances of our neighborhoods and support our communities. Neighbors help neighbors in emergencies and times of tragedy.
Elections bring out the worst in people. PA desperately needs clean elections and a time of healing. With our deep heritage of liberty and with the assimilation of values from peace-loving Quakers, Amish and Mennonites, we have much to build upon. I look forward to the day when destruction can end and re-building begin. I will not give up on my neighbors or my community, no matter how dark and ugly things are now.
You're right that focusing on your local community and the positives therein can give you a much better perspective on the positive side of all this. We are the vast majority. [They] have simply managed to convince us otherwise.

One observation I’ve encountered over and over, the last 2 yrs especially, is that people (who don’t know each other but only me) will repeat nearly word for word the mainstream narrative. If I simply ask for more explanation or thought, they uncomfortably do not want to talk about “politics”.
Whatever The Plan is, it seems to me that a critically important part of it will have to involve the msm being exposed for the psychological manipulation. While we hear of that starting to emerge, the normies are not yet getting it. I have been careful not to make enemies with these people. Though challenging and frustrating, I work my way to compassion in my heart. They have built a so-far impenetrable wall of conviction around their beliefs and the only thing that could possibly lie beneath such a fortress is fear…
